If you have a Twitter or Facebook account, I’m sure you have heard about the most recent addition to the Before You Exit collection of cover videos! Unlike the others from the past, this mash-up of Justin Bieber’s “As Long As You Love Me” and “Beauty and A Beat” specifically showcases the talents of the wonderful McDonough brothers.
Toby sings one of his first solos in the video [ and obviously rocked it ] , while Riley and Connor showcase their immense vocal abilities as always! The harmonies are impeccably perfect, and the guitar accompaniment adds a intimate, acoustic touch to an amazing rendition of the popular Bieber tunes.
It was very exciting to see the hashtag #BYEJustinBieberMashup become a trending topic on the evening of the release, and to celebrate, the brothers logged in to the Before You Exit band twitter account and answered a ton of fan questions.
Thomas and Braiden were beyond supportive of the change-up with this cover, and tweeted their support of the new angle of Before You Exit! Being in a band means that sometimes you have to take chances, and all you can hope for is the ongoing support of the fans no matter what decisions you make.
It seems that the BYE fanbase has received the new cover video quite well. All the tweets I viewed were positive and supportive, and we know the encouraging response to the new video put a smile on the boys’ faces!

Brazil! You have just been introduced to the amazing Before You Exit! This past Friday, BYE rocked the house at the NoCapricho Music Fesitval in Sao Paulo . Being very well received, the boys definitely satisfied their already existing fans and gained tons of new admirers on while on their trip.
According to the boys’ tweets throughout the couple days, it seems like they had a wonderful time enjoying the culture, people, and sights of the amazing Sao Paulo. It was the first trip outside of the United States for the boys of Before You Exit, so they were immensely excited to explore a new country pretty far from home.
Once at NoCapricho, the boys hit the stage and played a selection of classic BYE music, new BYE songs, as well as covers which included Some Nights by Fun and Tonight, Tonight by Hot Chelle Rae. An excellent video of Tonight, Tonight is available to watch here: Before You Exit – Tonight, Tonight, NoCapricho 2012 . Happy 5th Anniversary Before You Exit!
The band had another hilarious live chat last night. While this one didn’t include a group dance number… it DID include an interesting moment when Thomas kissed the screen, while Adele played as background music. Yes. You read that right.
We missed Toby during this chat. However, apparently he looked and smelled like he had been swimming in the swamp so…
Megan Fox is Connor’s celebrity crush.
Braiden breaks out the worm during dance battles.
Connor sleeps with his door open. Which means he’ll be the first McDonough to get kidnapped by a fan.
Thomas likes Mountain Dew.
Riley’s first show with the band happened to be his 13th birthday as well.
Braiden does not surf.
Thomas is not going bald.
Apparently Connor doesn’t like the Spanish language.
Riley claims he doesn’t use hair products… Sure.
Calling captain obvious! Braiden’s favorite video game is Call of Duty.
Connor redeemed himself by naming Mexican as his favorite food.
Thomas isn’t afraid to kiss the computer… while Adele is playing in the background.
Riley tried to dance. We had to look away from the chat during this time.
Braiden has a man crush on Zac Efron.
Connor’s first pet’s name was Nemo.
Thomas doesn’t think he’s a mutant. We don’t either.
Riley names John Mayer as an inspiration.
Braiden hates roller coasters.
Connor’s favorite number is 18.
Thomas’s favorite candy is Sour Patch Kids.
Riley still goes out on Halloween.
Braiden actually has a song called “The Wake Up Braiden Song” on his ipod.
Connor would eat frog legs… but he won’t eat sushi. Makes no sense.
Thomas’s favorite band at the moment is the Zack Brown Band.
Riley is again stealing celebrity crushes and names his as Olivia Wilde.
The Fairly Odd Parents is Braiden’s favorite cartoon.
Connor’s probably one of the only people in the world that likes Math.
Thomas has a fear of snakes.
Riley. Parmesan is not a spice.
Selena Gomez is Braiden’s celebrity crush.
Connor’s current favorite movie is The Hangover.
Thomas hates when people overuse the word awkward… Awkward.
Riley does not like cats.
Braiden made sure the viewers knew that Best Buy is giving away $1000 gift cards. He’s so helpful!
Connor is still Irish.
Bruno Mars is Riley’s favorite singer.
Thomas’s favorite member of the band is… himself. Then Toby. (For those keeping track, Toby’s not in the band…)
The man crushes on Justin Bieber ran rampant during this chat.
Nobody knows what “merp” means.
Riley can’t shuffle cards to save his life.
They don’t know the definition of “last question”.
One of them has a small crush on Taylor Lautner.
They spent five hours trying to decide who would change out of stripes. They chose Connor who changed into…. stripes.
How much does Toby cost? He’s priceless.

If the name Before You Exit doesn’t mean anything to you, than we suggest you continue readinag. This four piece teenage pop-rock band from Orlando, Florida is clearly a band to look out for in the coming year.
We sat down with the boys at their Silver Spring, Maryland date of the All The Way Tour where the group opened for headliner AllStar Weekend. The boys, brothers Riley and Connor McDonough on vocals and guitar, guitarist Braiden Wood, and drummer Thomas Silvers invited us onto their tour-bus to talk about their journey as a band thus far.
“We’ve upgraded,” says Silvers as we discuss one of the biggest perks to being on tour; the switch from a van to their current swanky new tour bus.
The boys are young, and new to the music scene; Connor, Thomas and Braiden each 18-years-old and Riley, the baby of the band is 16 years of age. The band, not too long ago, started to spread their name around on the internet by posting covers on their YouTube page. These covers were of popular songs from artists like All Time Low, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, and their most watched covers of The Script’s mash-up from “For The First Time” and “The Man That Can’t Be Moved” and One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful”.
Connor McDonough talks about what it’s like to be a band in such an internet focused world.
Pop-rock band Before You Exit stopped by our office to hang out with the J-14 staff. Hot off the All The Way tour with Allstar Weekend, The After Party, and Hollywood Ending, they dished to us all about tour, new music, and even gave us exclusive performances of “End of the World” and “The Best Thing”.
