If you haven’t already heard of Before You Exit, you’ll fall in love with them when you watch their cover of One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful”. With over 3 million views, it’s obvious these guys are on the rise! Seventeen Buzz scored an exclusive interview to chat with them about music, life, and what’s up next. Keep reading to see what they had to say and to watch their One Direction cover!
Seventeen Buzz: How did you come up with the name, Before You Exit?
Before You Exit: We came up with it because we want to do great things in the world, before we exit. After we decided on that name, we realized the initials are B-Y-E!
17 Buzz: Some of your songs are about relationships. Are you all single or taken?
BYE: Some of us are in relationships, and some of us aren’t. It’s a mix!
17 Buzz: Who is and who isn’t?
BYE: We’ll have to keep quiet on that one.
17 Buzz: What are you up to next?
BYE: We’re writing our album right now. We have a big handful of songs, but we’re trying to get a bunch of songs in the pot and pick our favorites.

Digital Tour Bus was in Chicago during the All the Way Tour and scored an exclusive tour of Before You Exit’s bus.
In this live chat we learned a couple of things. (Some things we would rather forget):
Connor would be happy to go on Dancing with the Stars.
The band has ADD. We know this because half of the questions weren’t answered completely.
Thomas told us he was lactose intolerant. Again.
Riley likes Peter Pan. So does Connor.
They fail at surfing.
Thomas’s favorite princess is Princess… Lea. (Um…)
They will basically go with anyone to a concert.
Their English accents fail.
Thomas gets really excited when they trend.
Thomas is NOT Mexican.
Pomegranate is a color. (We would all like proof of this Riley.)
The band can basically sing the phone book and sound awesome.
They are obsessed with Fairly Oddparents.
Thomas cannot play the trumpet.
Braiden’s favorite movie is Transformers.
Braiden would happily marry Riley.
Riley was wrong for the first time anyone can remember.
Toby is the coolest McDonough.
Toby doesn’t listen to Linken Park. (WHO CARES? HE’S STILL AWESOME.)
Braiden likes to use Suave shampoo… a shampoo recommendation he got from Thomas.
Riley likes to steal celebrity crushes.
Riley’s cartoon crush is… Spongebob. (Um…)
Don’t ask Connor to go to sushi with you, because he won’t go.
Connor doesn’t like tattoos on girls.
Toby puts up with a lot.
We as fans need to come together and save Tank from the craziness.
Connor fails at Livestream.
If the name Before You Exit doesn’t mean anything to you, than we suggest you continue readinag. This four piece teenage pop-rock band from Orlando, Florida is clearly a band to look out for in the coming year.
We sat down with the boys at their Silver Spring, Maryland date of the All The Way Tour where the group opened for headliner AllStar Weekend. The boys, brothers Riley and Connor McDonough on vocals and guitar, guitarist Braiden Wood, and drummer Thomas Silvers invited us onto their tour-bus to talk about their journey as a band thus far.
“We’ve upgraded,” says Silvers as we discuss one of the biggest perks to being on tour; the switch from a van to their current swanky new tour bus.
The boys are young, and new to the music scene; Connor, Thomas and Braiden each 18-years-old and Riley, the baby of the band is 16 years of age. The band, not too long ago, started to spread their name around on the internet by posting covers on their YouTube page. These covers were of popular songs from artists like All Time Low, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, and their most watched covers of The Script’s mash-up from “For The First Time” and “The Man That Can’t Be Moved” and One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful”.
Connor McDonough talks about what it’s like to be a band in such an internet focused world.
